...or, how to get away from all the nonsense and tend your pets in peace.

welcome to the world of m.foopets - the mobile app that works even better on a computer. it's easy to find - just change the "www" to "m" in your foopets member URL (http://www.foopets.com/member/(your number) becomes http://m.foopets.com/member/(your number).

once you have it up and ready, we recommend you bookmark it on your toolbar for easy access - we have both forms tabbed, actually, but as you can always get to www mode by clicking the bottom of the m mode page, the second is optional. bookmarking locks in your password and protects you from being logged out by reboots, power failures, etc. : it saves time and aggravation as well by preventing the site from "forgetting" your password and making logging back on, er, interesting.

m mode is a much nicer place than Instacare - the pets know you're there and respond to you, there are no fleas, and no foopoo...and it's FREE. you can give each pet the care it needs, not just a blanket "one of everything", SEE what they need - all of them, all at once - and see the care records for each as you tend them.

it's a blessing for those of us with fosters, also - by pasting either the account link, or the individual pets in Play mode, into your profile, they are ready and waiting to be tended, and in the case of full accounts can be checked when you're done by refreshing the page to make sure none have been missed.

BASIC STUFF ABOUT USING M.FOO -

> you need to click on the pet for it to notice you're touching it, like pokeys or early foos. don't worry, there is also no Pick-Up option here, they won't end up kicking in midair accidentally.

> pokeys care is freezeless - they disguise themselves as foos in m mode, and are as easily tended.

> stock up on food (you no longer need to "buy" water) in www mode - the "Shop" option in m mode only offers the small, overpriced sizes.

> when tending your own pets, when you first open the page they will be in order of age, as they used to be before we were able to custom-sort. once the first one is fed they will revert to the order of your choice. each pet's care bars will reflect your care as it is given, and you will be able to review their care by scrolling up and down the page.

> foster accounts remain in "age" order, and you will need to use your mouse's "page back" function to go from one pet to the next, whether by account or singly.

> for reasons unknown, the layout is reversed in m mode, with profiles above the pets. if you tend the accounts of folks who like to build large profiles, brace yourself for a LOT of scrolling - and a small amount of downtime while all that junk loads up, on the first pet or two.

> one of the more interesting features of m.foopets is the fact that, like meebo, it is a contracted service. to the best of our knowledge, FooMojo gets credit for the logon (as do you, along with your daily gems/foodollars), but not for clicks or time-on-site.
